Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Scrown("Scrown", "we", "us") governing your use of the Scrown website and mobile app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Scrown lets you save content shared from other apps — such as videos, links, and posts — and browse it later in your own personal feed, free of an algorithmic recommendation system. Some features (for example manually adding books, movies, TV shows, recipes, notes, or ideas, and the social feed) are under development and may change or become available at a later date.

You need an account to use most of the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at hello@scrown.app if you suspect unauthorized use.

Scrown is free to use for up to 100 stashes. Scrown Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited stashes and other premium features, offered at the following prices and lengths:

• Monthly: $1.99 USD, billed every 1 month
• Yearly: $19.90 USD, billed every 12 months (equivalent to 2 months free versus monthly)

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews for the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of renewal will be identified.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's account settings — on iOS, in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android, in the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't offer refunds directly — refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

The import pack is a separate, one-time (non-subscription) purchase, priced at $5.99 for a single platform or $9.99 for a bundle of two, described in full on our Pricing page.

You keep ownership of the URLs, notes, and other content you save to Scrown ("your content"). By saving content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you — and, if you choose to mark an item public, to your followers — solely to operate the Service. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to save and share the content you add.

You agree not to use Scrown to:

• Save, post, or share content that is illegal, infringing, or that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor
• Harass, impersonate, or violate the rights of any other person
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use automated means to scrape or abuse the Service outside its intended functionality

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including the child safety standards described in our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see our account deletion page for how. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you first except where immediate action is needed to protect the Service or other users.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Scrown is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These additional terms apply if you downloaded Scrown from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Scrown only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• The license granted to you is a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any claim that the app or your possession or use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify waitlist members and account holders by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Scrown operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
